How to use Facebook Ads Manager?

If it’s your first time using Facebook Ads Manager, begin by accessing this tool via the Facebook Ads Manager app for your smartphone or by clicking the arrow icon in the top right corner of a Facebook page where you’re listed as the admin and click ‘Business Manager’. You should notice that there are four screens titled Ads, Account Overview, AdSets and Campaigns. You can find all the tools and information about your campaigns under Ads Manager in the upper-left corner of the screen.

How to set up an ad campaign on Facebook?

To create your first ad campaign on Facebook, begin by opening the Campaigns tab and click + Create to start. Next, pick the objective of the campaign. This depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. The list of available objectives includes reach, traffic, store traffic, app installs and more. For instance, if you’re looking to bring in more traffic for your website, you should choose Conversion as your objective. The following tutorial will focus on creating a conversion campaign but the process is similar for all the objectives.

The next step is selecting a name for your campaign. You might be tempted to go with something simple but it’s much better to include lots of useful information in the campaign name. This will help you simplify the process of organizing your ads and reporting ad results later. You can put the name of the website or Facebook page in the name, target audience or location, type of media used in the campaign, etc. You can also choose to set up a split test or optimize your budget in the same section of the site.

The next step is to set up an adset, which is the target audience of your campaign and its budget. You can set up a new audience or use a saved audience you’ve created previously. You can choose the gender, age, location, interests and behavior of your audience to ensure that you’re targeting just the right people with your ads.

Once you’ve selected your target audience, you will need to select your ad placement. If you don’t know enough about ad placements to make an informed decision, simply choose automatic ad placement and let Facebook do it for you! After that, you will need to configure your ad campaign budget and bidding.

The final step of setting up Facebook ads is to add media and copy that you’ll use in your ads. You can create photo, video or carousel ads on Facebook but keep in mind media specifications for each ad type.

Now that you’ve gone through all the steps, your campaign is ready to launch and bring you lots of new clients!
